HADOPELAGYAL (named for the deepest zone of the ocean) continues its campaign of psychic degradation. Since 2016, this Leipzig/Essen duo has specialized in cultivating an abhorrent, raw wall of noise, where the feral aggression of death metal collides with the freezing, anti-cosmic despair of black metal.

Their sound is a maelstrom of impenetrable, down-tuned dissonance, with raw production that often leaves the listener feeling crushed and submerged beneath an immense, turbulent sonic pressure—a fitting soundtrack to the ocean's lightless, oxygen-starved depths.
